Negative experience: We booked 6 tours in Cairns through Happy Travels, spending a total of AUD 3,050. I’m very grateful to the staff at the Buggy and JetSki tours, who noticed that we had been charged over AUD 500 for duplicate bookings. Unfortunately, I’ve since requested a refund, but no one has contacted me about it. As a tourist, this experience has been quite upsetting. I recommend that anyone booking with them double-check their total costs carefully. If you are charged extra, it seems unlikely that you will get a refund.

Negative experience: very bad experience never again. the shop close at 7 pm and support team close at 5 and cancelition terms and conditions till 6 pm??? ridiculous ,you can't cancel around 5 pm because they don't answer!!!!

Fantastic experience: Super helped by Linda! Good service, I only had to message her and she was ready for us. Additionally, she also gave us free SIM cards and vouchers for discounts on food, in short, we were helped wonderfully!

Fantastic experience: Great expirience! I arrived to Australia just 4 days ago and I was walking around in Cairns. This guy called Liam says hi to me and called me in to the shop. I didin't have any plans so he told me everything about Eastcoast. For my supprise he planed my hole eastcoast trip, and made me a calender and a map. He was so good at explaning everything and also gave me good tips for my Australian adventure! Highly recommend to see Liam if you are in Cairns ! :)

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this place even if you have an idea about what you want to do already. I did my own research online first and was pretty sure I knew what I wanted to do already. But the staff were still able to give me lots of useful advice drawing on their own experiences as travellers themselves. They were also able to give me a lot more clarity on what the difference between various similar tours were which I couldn't find online.

Fantastic experience: During my tour through Australia I could not skip Cairns known for the Great Barrier Reef. During my stay here I booked different great, well-organized tours through Jesse Trip. He helped me incredibly well, which made my stay in Cairns a lot more pleasant!

Fantastic experience: The two guys behind the desk (Liam and Kameron) where a great help to us! They gave us a lot of information and really took their time to help. They where genuine, eager to help, honest and knowledgeable. I'd rocomend every one to give them a visit. Especially when you are not yet sure what to do whilst traveling along the east coast.

Positive experience: Great service. I normally plan all my trips myself in advance, but in my previous trip I wished I didn't because I met people from hostels that wanted to do excursions together. Once I arrived at hostels in Australia I found out that most of the people are here looking for work and are less interested in doing excursions since they have been here so long and have already done everything. So I decided to go here and plan a trip. They do use aggressive sales tactic like you won't get better prices anywhere else or there is only one spot left and you might miss it. They are overly nice when you agree with them and overly defensive when you don't agree with them. Honestly I don't know why they need to use these tactics. I reviewed the cost of all my excursions, transit and accommodation separately and it came close to around the price that I would have paid for if I have done it myself. If they let people digest there trip before being rushed into a sale it would make the transaction experience better. All my excursions I booked with them went smoothly. Everything was in order and I had no issues. I would recommend them to a friend.

Fantastic experience: A by chance walking past Happy Travels (Sheridan street) in Cairns was all it took to have such an awesome experience in this astonishing area. People clearly come to this city and region for the phenomenal and diverse landscape, area, activities and adventures and the Happy Travels staff I met (Linda and Alex) really knew these opportunities really well and did a superb job for my bookings. Although I knew the crucial trips and activities I wanted to do, Happy Travels had information on plenty of companies who offered various opportunities to choose from as well as others I was not aware about. Linda and Alix were really helpful in sharing vital information, answered questions with natural ease, happily checked additional comparisons and were incredibly patient and thorough with ensuring multiple trip and activity bookings were completed properly and with realistic timeframes and logistics including finer details too. Payment and booking confirmation were really efficient and printed paperwork was really clear and a great range of Cairns activities enquired, checked, affirmed and which all happened to the plans. Happy Travels clearly know the trips they recommend well. Linda and Alex were amazing at ensuring the ideal experiences were in place for what was wanted - friendly, helpful, proactive and consummate professionals. Thank you ever so much - you made the Cairns holiday one to truly remember.

Fantastic experience: Mate and I went to Aus on a trip down the east coast starting at Cairns. We’re pretty clueless on where to go and what to do. Couldn’t have asked for a better service, pointed us in the direction up in Cairns for scuba diving and rainforest trip which were unreal, good value for money. After we went down to whitsundays where we were told of the best 2 day boat party to go on, was bang on and such a good laugh with amazing ways of seeing the islands too. Plus sorted us with skydiving over the whitsundays for 30% off normal rate, best place you could ever do it! Just an all round really helpful service and made our first week on the east coast so easy! Would definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: Great service! Gina spoke to me on the street and even after she found out she couldn’t help me because I was leaving she helped me out with finding my way in cairns. She even helps me with finding a farmjob. She arranged me a really nice trip to the Whitsundays when I was in Mackay. Just by sending her a message, 10min after the trip was arranged(I think she even had a day off). The sailingtrip to Whitsundays with ‘spank me’ was awesome! Fantastic experience: We booked our tour to Cape Tribulation through Happy Tours and we had an amazing expericence. Peter showed us a lot of different activities/tours and explained everything really detailed. He never got tired of answering our questions. In the end we decided to go with Uncle Brian's. Normally I don't like guided tours because everyone is in a rush and there are so many other tourists. But with Uncle Brian's it was totally different. The tour guide was hilarious and we could decide for ourselves what we wanted to see in Cape Trib and how long. Besides we were a small group of 10 people. I can really recommend Happy Tours and Uncle Brian's.

Negative experience: I went to this tour company to get some information about snorkeling/diving. The woman working there was very helpful at first but when she realised that I was not going to book anything right away (I wanted to consider the options I got) she got mad. I have never experienced anything like it and I just wanted to get out of there. She should really re-consider her sales teqnique. I booked some where else afterwards. I would advise people to book some where else - there are plenty of places that can arrange tours and they are all very friendly and helpful (except this one).

Fantastic experience: Gina was absolutely incredible! I was there for around two hours and I couldn’t have come out of the office any happier with my future plans. She went above and beyond and helped me with a realistic budget, maximising on the time I had and prioritising the best experiences first and foremost. I am going to go back before leaving Cairns to book another trip as she has convinced me that experiences are worth the money as you are only here for a short period of time. Thanks so much again!

Unbelievable patience in making sure we get the best package in relation to the day we wanted. Not only did he help us get the best deal for snorkelling on the great barrier reef, but also recommended places to stay, see, eat and party in cairns which made our holiday so much more rewarding. They provide a great experience, i highly recommend using them

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend Happy Travels enough! Thank you to Ryan in particular for organising an incredible Whitsundays adventure on the Clipper party boat for me and a friend from Cairns. We started with no clue how we were going to do it with our time limits and Ryan carefully and confidently put together a perfect itinerary for us including hostel recommendations and organising us a completely stress free hire car. The entire trip was seamless and he had the answer to all of our questions (2 blondes - there were a lot of questions). He was super engaging, friendly and has first class knowledge of the east coast no matter what vibe you are looking for - I’d recommend to anyone!
